Following my tenure as an Outreacy Intern with Fedora Badges Design, I was invited to present my work at the Fedora 39 release party.
Who could've ever imagined a long-time Ubuntu guy presenting at a major Fedora event? Well, it happened, and I had a great time too! It was a fitting follow-up to my Outreachy journey, and an opportunity to meet with the community and experience firsthand the response to our work on Fedora Badges.

In this presentation, I was able to give a detailed insight into the considerations and processes that led to various design decisions behind several of the badges I worked on during the internship.

It was refreshing to see, in real time, real responses from the Fedora community. Additionally, it was quite validating to know that this work is so important to many people. It was fun to have an opportunity to answer community questions and take a deeper dive into the work from their perspective.
